Michelle Cook was a Native youth delegate to the climate summit in Cochabamba, Bolivia, in 2010, the World Peoples Conference on the Protection of Mother Earth and the Rights of Nature. An Indigenous rights activist, Michelle arrived from New Zealand where she was a Fulbright scholar for the past two years. Earlier, while studying at the University of Arizona in Tucson, she was a border activist with the Indigenous Alliance without Borders and supporter of the Zapatistas.
